The program introduces 41 phonemes of the English language through clear visual prompts and straightforward exercises. These activities enable children to learn, rehearse, and assess their ability to discriminate between different sounds. As children progress, subsequent stages build upon these foundational skills by combining individual phonemes into simple vowel-consonant combinations and eventually whole words.

Developed and supported by internationally renowned experts, See and Learn Speech Sounds is tailored to meet the unique learning needs of children with Down syndrome, aligning with current scientific insights into effective intervention strategies for this population.

The program is suitable for use with infants from approximately six months old as well as preschool-aged children. It can be implemented with children of any age above six months to practice listening, sound discrimination, and speech production skills.
